Cathy Rollinson

Cathy has a BA in Applied Language Studies and an MBA from City University.

Cathy’s work experience spans the public and private sectors.  She spent 14 years with the British Council, before becoming a management consultant, specialising in marketing and change management.  She has worked with the top teams of organisations in the UK and abroad to help them identify opportunities and develop their culture to achieve their full potential.

Cathy then worked with the NHS.  For four years she was Chair of East Surrey Health Authority and was involved closely with the setting-up of Primary Care Groups and their successors, Primary Care Trusts.  She was then appointed to chair Surrey Oaklands NHS Trust, a specialist mental health and learning disability trust, which she led to a successful merger.  Her personal experience of harnessing the talents of individual Board members gives her an insight into the opportunities for Boards and also the risks they face.

Currently Cathy is advising Surrey County Council on allowances for Councillors as a member of their Independent Remuneration Panel.  She also sits as a lay member on Review Bodies constituted by the Office for Judicial Complaints to look into complaints against judicial office holders.
