What if my postcode isn't found?
Devolved funding rules are still rolling out across England, so we may not have region-specific details for every postcode yet. You'll still see any nationally available courses (like freeCodeCamp or AWS re/Start), and can check the National Careers Service course finder directly for local options in the meantime.
Are these courses truly 100% free?
Every course listed here is free at the point of use for eligible learners — either fully government-funded (Skills Bootcamps, Adult Skills Fund) or free-to-everyone platforms like freeCodeCamp and IBM SkillsBuild. Check the "What's needed" section on each course, since exact eligibility varies by provider.
How do I prove my eligibility to the provider?
Most providers ask for photo ID, proof of address, and — if relevant — proof of your employment or benefits status (e.g. a Universal Credit statement). The provider will confirm exactly what they need when you apply; we show a reminder of this just before you click through.
