What we collect
The intake wizard asks for your postcode, employment status, and target sector. We use these to query our course database for a single response and we do not store them — Wendwell currently has no user accounts, and nothing you type into the wizard is written to a database. Once you close the tab, it's gone.
Cookies & analytics
Wendwell uses Vercel Analytics to see aggregate usage — which pages get visited, and a few named events like "wizard submitted" or "sign-up clicked". This doesn't use cookies and isn't tied to your identity — it can't single you out or be linked back to a person. If we ever move to analytics that does track individuals, we'll add a cookie/consent banner and update this page before doing so, not after.
When you generate a roadmap, we also log an anonymous record of the sector you searched, your broad regional funding authority (e.g. "South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority", not your postcode), your employment/benefit status option, and how many courses matched — this helps us understand which areas and sectors are actually being used. Nothing in this record is tied to your identity, your postcode, or your email address, and there is no way to trace it back to you individually.
Course data
The training courses listed on Wendwell are sourced from the National Careers Service course directory (Open Government Licence v3.0) and a small set of manually-verified free training providers. This is public information about third-party organisations, not personal data about you.
Third-party links
"Sign up" links take you to the training provider's own website, which has its own privacy policy. We're not responsible for what happens once you leave Wendwell.
Future changes
If Wendwell adds user accounts (to save a roadmap or track applications, for example), this page will be rewritten to explain exactly what's stored, why, and how to delete it — before that feature ships, not after.
